I am a queer musician and graphic artist from the UK, drawing inspiration from all realms of escapism—videogames, sci-fi, and fantasy. While I have a degree in creative music technology, most of my composition and music theory skills are self-taught, and I continue to learn and experiment with every project.
My musical journey began at eight years old when I was introduced to the Cornet at school. Over the next decade, I was classically trained and played in various bands and ensembles, including a second-section brass band. You can still hear the influence of classical arrangements throughout my music today.
At secondary school and sixth form, I discovered my first DAW, Cubase6. Though complicated at first, I quickly fell in love with the software, and at 14, I composed my first electronic piece, The Technomancer—a track that later found its way into my Press Play album in a revised form.
After sixth form, I struggled to figure out my direction, unsure of how to pursue all my talents. Ultimately, I chose to continue creating music, a passion that had always been a constant since it began. My first year of university was a transformative experience where I learned a lot about myself and met many inspiring people. But as the world shifted with COVID-19 in early 2020, my university experience took a turn.
Lockdowns and limited access to studios hindered my ability to collaborate, create and fully utilise what university had to offer, and my mental health suffered. It wasn't until my fourth year that I began to recover.
Today, I balance my life as a teacher by day and a graphic artist and musician by night. Like many, my goal is success—but for me, success is defined by bringing happiness and inspiration to others through my work.
